6|His Burden is Light

Come unto me all ye who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly of heart and you shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.  Mathew 11:28-30 

Everyone has a song that comes from the heart, resistance to that, can come from fear and burdens from self and/or others which will definitely cause tension in the voice. I don't think you're thinking about that when you're singing in the shower! My student might say, "if you heard me in the shower, you would know I just sang it perfectly, I don't know what happens when I get in front of you" I think you know the answer to that comment ;)
